Burgtor district
The future development of the Burgtor district in Dortmund is intended to represent a contemporary milestone in the development of the city of Dortmund. The planning property is planned with a closed perimeter block development. The high-rise building will be located on the corner of Leopoldstrasse and Steinstrasse. The inner courtyard will be reserved for the tenants of the district as an attractive outdoor space, a quiet green oasis in the busy city. The inner courtyard is on the 1st floor above the local supplier area. This spacious roof area will be intensively greened.
Qualifizierung
At the end of 2023, the architectural firms BAUART, Schamp and Partner, RKW +, Thomas Müller and Ivan Reimann and Schoper Schoper took part in the qualification process. The task was to design the facades of the Burgtor district.
The submissions were submitted to the Dortmund Architecture Archive by a jury consisting of Mr. Dipl.-Ing. City planner BDA Stefan Szuggat (city councilor of the city of Dortmund), Mr. Dominik Schürmann (Schulz and Schulz architects), three members of the Dortmund city council, Ms. Hannah Rosenbaum (district mayor of the city center-north district of Dortmund) and Mr. Nöfer (Nöfer architects).
